At one point, I had a flashing red light on my Greenworks battery charger. Those batteries cost over $200 so I wasn’t excited to see it not working. When it happened, I did two things simultaneously. I opened Google and looked for a solution. At the same time, I removed the battery from the charger and put it back in.
I was happy to see that in my case, it resolved the issue and the green blinking light came on. But I was already scrolling through the possible reasons so I thought I would share what I found.
Most answers on the web spoke about the charger not “recognizing” the battery. I am not sure exactly what that means but I figured it makes some sense with the way it was solved for me.
I saw one guy that was able to fix it and you can see it in the video below. Try it on your own risk.
How This Guy Fixed The Flashing Red Light
Can say I recommend it. But it seems harmless enough for me to try it if it ever happens to me.
What Else Can You Do?
Not a whole lot I guess. You should go over the charger showing solid red light and see if something there applies to your case.
If nothing else, at this point you would probably want to contact Greenworks customer support.
